Tracey Gjersten
Trusted. Experienced. A pioneer in women’s health.

Meet Tracey, Co-Founder of CORE and Founder of The Body Motion Company. A Chartered Physiotherapist, National Educator, and Clinical Pilates specialist, Tracey has spent more than 40 years helping people move with strength, confidence, and control.

Her evidence-based approach supports women through every stage of life - from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to hypermobility, pelvic health, and mid-life changes.

In 2015, Tracey launched The Body Motion Company, offering Clinical Pilates and Reformer classes. As demand quickly grew and the waitlist surpassed 100 clients, she knew it was time to create something bigger. Partnering with long-time colleague and trusted friend Gayle, she co-founded CORE.

At CORE, Tracey delivers Clinical Matwork and Reformer sessions and is a familiar face on the weekend timetable. Alongside Gayle, she is one half of the powerhouse team shaping the future of women’s health and movement.

Gayle Brylewski
Strength-led. Evidence-informed. Dedicated to women’s health.

Meet Gayle, Co-Owner of CORE. A Chartered Physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates and Reformer instructor, she brings nearly two decades of experience across physiotherapy, fitness, and movement coaching.

Gayle has built her career on precision, strength, and a deep belief in the body’s ability to adapt and thrive. Combining clinical expertise with dynamic, strength-based Pilates, she helps clients move with confidence, resilience, and purpose.

Her philosophy is simple: movement is medicine. Evidence-based practice, intelligent Pilates principles, and thoughtful strength training form the foundation of her method - always tailored, always intentional, always centred on empowering people to feel stronger in everyday life.

A passionate advocate for women’s health, Gayle supports women through the physical transitions of pregnancy and the postnatal period. She is recognised for creating safe, effective pathways back to strength, rebuilding stability and function while restoring trust in the body. Her approach is compassionate, informed, and deeply personalised to the needs of pre- and post-natal women.

Since working alongside Tracey at The Body Motion Company from 2017 onward, it became clear that the growing needs of the community required a dedicated space. CORE emerged as the natural evolution - a purpose-driven home for women’s health, reformer Pilates, and intelligent movement.

Holly Rye
Instructor. Massage Therapist. Music-fuelled motivator.

Holly is an experienced certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor, qualified massage therapist, and one of CORE’s most energetic presences. With a professional background in theatre and a lifelong passion for movement, she brings creativity, warmth, and infectious enthusiasm to every class.

Music sits at the centre of her teaching style - driving rhythm, motivation, and the occasional playful detour in her counting.

As a mum of two who has personally navigated postpartum recovery and manages hypermobility, Holly understands the realities of rebuilding strength and stability. Her lived experience deepens her commitment to helping others find resilience, confidence, and joy in movement, whatever their starting point.
With skilled, hands-on guidance across both Reformer and Matwork, Holly helps clients move better, feel stronger, and train with purpose.

Jo is a certified Mat and Reformer Pilates Instructor with a strong foundation in dance and movement, shaped by over a decade in the performing arts industry. As a professional dancer, choreographer, and educator, she brings a deep understanding of the body, alignment, and technique to every class
